Ingredients

  • 8 oz strawberry cream cheese Bring to room temperature before assembling for easy spreading
  • 6 oz cranberry stilton cheese Slice thinly for easy serving
  • 6 oz red wax gouda cheese Cut half into cubes and half into thin wedges for visual variety
  • 4 oz red pepper salami Sliced and rolled into rose shapes
  • 4 oz pepperoni Cut into heart shapes using a small heart cookie cutter before assembling
  • 1 pink grapefruit Segmented, use seedless variety for cleanest presentation
  • 2 cups watermelon Cut into heart shapes using cookie cutter
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries Add last during assembly as they are most fragile
  • 12 red velvet cookies Stack or arrange in a short row on one section of the board
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam Served in a small bowl placed directly on the board
  • 1 cup pink yogurt-covered pretzels Scatter throughout board to fill remaining gaps

Equipment

  • Large red or pink serving platter
  • Small serving bowl
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutters
  • Cheese knives

Method

  1. Set the large serving platter on a flat stable surface. Place the small bowl of strawberry jam in an off-center position to anchor the layout.
  2. Arrange the three cheeses in separate sections spaced evenly across the board. Slice cranberry stilton and red wax gouda into a mix of cubes and thin wedges. Leave strawberry cream cheese as a soft spreadable mound.
  3. Roll red pepper salami into rose shapes and arrange near the cheese sections. Place heart-shaped pepperoni pieces in small neat stacks throughout the board.
  4. Fill gaps with watermelon hearts, grapefruit segments, and fresh raspberries. Add raspberries last as they are the most fragile and will crush if placed under other items.
  5. Arrange red velvet cookies in a short stack on one section. Scatter pink yogurt-covered pretzels throughout remaining open spaces to create a full abundant appearance.
  6. Scatter food-safe heart confetti lightly across the board. Tuck mini faux roses around the outer edges only, keeping them away from direct food contact. Fill any last gaps and take photos before serving.

Notes

Serve within 2 hours of assembly for best freshness. To prep ahead, assemble up to 2 hours early and cover loosely with plastic wrap in the refrigerator. Remove faux roses and confetti before refrigerating and replace just before serving. Only use food-safe confetti, never craft confetti near food. This board is not suitable for freezing.
